Pick Everard, Gleeds and AECOM form ‘Super Consortium’ to bid for Scape’s £350 million Built Environment Consultancy Services Framework
Pick Everard, Gleeds and AECOM are pleased to announce they are to bid as an incorporated joint venture for a place on Scape Group’s £350 million Built Environment Consultancy Services (BECS) Framework.
The new consortium, whilst retaining their own independence, will offer an unrivalled record of providing added value and efficient solutions on behalf of public sector clients across the country. Having worked in partnership on contracts with the likes of Sellafield Ltd, the Education Funding Agency, Homes and Communities Agency and Kent County Council, the three businesses are able to offer a unique range of framework experience with a ‘best of breed’ complementary skillset.
The four-year BECS Framework will be the broadest consultancy framework available in the UK, simplifying access to services for public sector clients. It will cover everything from project management, quantity surveying and building surveying to architecture and design services, commercial surveying and strategic asset management.
Duncan Green, Managing Partner at Pick Everard, added: “The new BECS framework aims to support the public sector by plugging gaps where crucial expertise is lacking. By forming this incorporated joint venture we are able to provide an enhanced offering, combining the expertise of three firms while at the same time giving clients the security of one highly adept national provider.”
Richard Steer, Chairman for Gleeds Worldwide said: “Gleeds has been developing a strategy for working with Scape over the last two years so I am delighted to be able to announce we have reached an agreement to bid in conjunction with two complementary businesses. Together we offer unrivalled scale-ability. As a team we are committed to providing a proposal that will support Scape’s desire to help clients achieve incremental socio-economic value.”
“As members of the joint venture, AECOM, Gleeds and Pick Everard bring specialist expertise, a successful track record and a shared commitment to delivering high-quality services to clients. In a skills-deprived age of austerity, we are ideally placed to serve the needs of stretched public sector organisations.”
